White Flash, Call My Name

KYAAAA! Finally after months and months of brainstorming and creation Spring Summer 2010 dolls are here!! But guess what will be the theme!

But first here to present the first doll:
Inspired by the ever popular Japanese released Role Playing Game (North America will be getting it March 9, 2010)
FINAL FANTASY XIII!!!!

and here she is, the main protagonist from the 13th installment of the game: Lightning!!! (^^)

She was originally conceptualized by Motomu Noriyama and Tetsuya Nomura.

Shh don't tell everyone that her real name is Éclaire Farron (she just used Lightning as an alias, she told me that) She has a younger sister named Serrah. She's waay more less serious than her older sister *giggle*. Don't get me wrong but I admire Lightning's strong character (wish she would just lend me some though) LOLZ.

Anyway, She uses a gunblade weapon called "Blaze Edge" it's a sword that can be converted into a gun, get it? I didn't get it at first but after seeing the actual weapon it's a really cool thing!! Just be careful where you point it Lightning-san! (^^)

Here you can see Lightning-san's outfit not yet fully done :)

Lightning-san before the haircut, rerooted strawberry blonde hair; repainted too :)

Ta-Dah! Lightning with new hair cut. Kakkoii!!! (Stylish!!!)

Waaai! Here's Lightning-san's full body picture! She has hand sewn costume! with a little help from my fab friend Anj of Gabooche!

Costume hardware, necklace, shoulder armor, Blaze Edge all hand sculpted! (^^) sugoii!!

Whew! Im happy that Jpoupee released her a week before the official NA release!

Oh by the way, why is the post titled "White Flash, Call My Name"? well it's the tiny inscription on Lightning-san's Blaze edge.. (^^)

Sayaka had a full blog report about the show. For the report, go here.

Besides the exhibit, there's a fashion show helf that was dedicated to Barbie. 50 Filipino designers were selected to come up designs for her. The whole show was really cool! Any fans of the doll will be pleased with what the designers came up with!

Location Photoshoot!

Konnichiwa minna-san!

Oh, first, I would just like to say that this update will be in no connection with Jpoupée (but I suspect someday it will) The team and I went r&r in Pampanga to gather information. A friend of ours has this really big & awesome house. It's totally much bigger than mine (well duh! its a doll house silly. ^.^ ), Oh I might add that the garden is 'OOKII' (huge)! we can have a doggie convention there! We had a photoshoot just for fun. Oh, Lucy's with me too (she's from ! We had a great time together!
Anyhoo, I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Our friend Kelvin drove us all the way to the place~ Thanks sweetie!

Boy, the ride was fast!

Atlast we're here! the crib was huge! We went around, there was a lot of breathing space compared to my cramped home back in Japan! Oh time for picture! (>_<)

Lucy, you look gorge here!

We found this dead wood as a perfect pictorial foreground! Isn't that cool? Taihen! (oh no!) im not looking on the camera!

I love how the dead wood, grasses & the bridge was put into place!

Whew! It's hard being a model! I had a hard time balancing!

Lucy's time to pose!

I like the contrasting colors of the leaves! I almost fell from this one! (-_-);
Time for our profile pics!

Whew! on our way home, we found this! I was like, O.M.G.!!! It's like, BARBIE!!! I was so happy to see something in this place! I really wish that I could be like her some day! Happy 50th girl!

Hajimemashite!

Dozo Yoroshiku! Sayaka desu (^.^)

Let me introduce my trustworthy assistant (not to mention, not so dynamic, but hey, she’s inspiring) Sayaka Tsuchiya. You can call her “Sayaka”, “Saya”, “Saya-T” for short. Her Japanese friends call her “Saya-chan”. My blog reporter (is there such??) for our business in creating dolls. She’ll be the one to blog report on my latest creations, news, and whats happening with our company. She’s really reliable, and very friendly (she just look snobbish & strict) Haha.

Oh, We interviewed her after telling her we want her for our company. Sayaka is from Tokyo, Japan. She came last year December to live in our place permanently. She really is proud of her nationality and likes to express it. Her fashion sense to put in words (according to her) is, high fashion with a touch of “kawaii” (that’s Japanese for “cute”) She really loves to wear fashionable items. She doesn’t care what brand it is as long as she can express her individuality but she said that she wouldn’t mind wearing designer brands too (she also gave me a wink when she told me). Her favorite brand is Louis Vuitton. She emphasized that she loves fashion. Her ultimate idol and her star is Barbie. We talked to her that seemed like hours, but we really enjoyed the interview.

(You can read the full interview here: nyadolls.blogspot.com )

We are happy that she agreed with our invitation! Oh, Sayaka told me to tell everyone “Minna, dozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu!” that’s “Nice to meet you all” in Japanese. :)
